The nomination as top essayist for January made me bawl like a baby.

My husband passed away last week on 24 January.

I am deeply moved and honored that my story resonated with readers. I published a further two essays about my soulmate before he died.

Now I'm struggling to finish a draft about the final days leading to his death. Perhaps it's to soon.
