After my husband's stroke last year, he experience short-term memory loss which his GP said would improve. He prescribed Memor tablets which mu husband took for a few of months.

He still sometimes suffers short-term memory loss but I'm not too worried as we all do - like forgetting the name of something and then it pops up in our heads a while later.

I don't detect cognitive decline but will refer back to this piece if anything raises alarm bells.
