I stopped New Year resolutions long ago. I now set monthly goals but approach each day as one step forward.

My life changed radically this year with the passing of my soulmate in January. At times, I couldn't think further than surviving the next hour, let alone a day, a week, a month. I couldn't control or change what happened but I'm still here because I can control how I feel and walk through life with an attitude of gratitude.

What I don't have control over is the unreliable electricity supply where I live which in turn affects my internet connection and ability to write on my laptop. But I go with the flow and engage in activities that only require my inner power - like meditation!
