I regard myself as a selfless person in that when I help, it's because my heart wants to. I don't expect anything in return. For example, the reward of doing a kindness for a stranger is seeing their eyes light up and the smile on their face.

I make an exception for those who want to take advantage of my good nature - once, and no more. We have to set boundaries.
