Hmm — my eyes glazed over but I’m happy I opened them again and read this.

I confess to never having heard of Emile Coue. (Without the accents I’m afraid!) Though Jung and Freud are familiar.

“Getting Better” was my second favorite song on Sgt Pepper’s, after “When I’m Sixty Four” ( I’m way past that now). Now that you’ve provided the background, I understand that was my first exposure to what popular culture now calls affirmations, and why I found the song motivating.

I’ve been practicing the Day by Day, day and night, for five days now and sense a subtle shift.
