Thank you for sharing your experience. Came at the right time when I'm re-evaluating my purpose in writing here and going back to the topics I used to focus on when I started out 20 months ago.

Not to say that experimenting with different genres has not helped me improve my writing skills (such as using the double negative with careless abandon!)
