Doppelgangers, Acid Trips, Colors and Other Funny Things About Me
Writing challenge prompt response
I tried answering these questions a week ago, after reading the submission by Roz Warren, Writing Coach, which originated from this prompt from Lynn L. Alexander, but succumbed to the flu two days after waiting in the queue to vote in our national elections on May 29.
I know — it’s a long, clumsy sentence but four days of bed rest to recover left my nose dry but my writing rusty.
This is my attempt to oil my brain and get the words flowing again.
1. Have you ever been told you look like a famous person? Who?
No. I look like me — not the same as 70 years, nor 40 years ago, but still young at heart. I’m chuffed nobody famous looks like me; gives me an opportunity to pursue fame with no contenders.
2. What is your favorite flower?
Sunflowers. They’re such happy chappies and stand tall and majestic in fields. Not the type you’d put in a vase.
3. What color ink do you prefer in a pen?
I always go for black. In my corporate days, I had to sign at least twenty client contracts a week — you can only use that color for legal documents and I stuck to that habit.
