Binaural beats
Or neuro-feedback
Scientific proof they lack
Oh those placebos
Did you knows
Of CBT and meditation
Jungian concepts
Cogitation
Being alone or
In a group
Mixing methods
In a mental soup
Which some find bland
And others bitter
Force feeding you
Don’t be a quitter.”

The Listicle I once read by someone who claimed to have recovered naturally from depression — and my responses:

Wrestle your brain into submission
Which of my neurons should I pick on first?
Please explain this crazy mission,
With billions to choose from, my head’s gonna burst.

Play more, work less
Yes that’ll do,
Make me feel better, not so blue.
I’ll skulk and shirk,
Neglect the inner work,
Maybe party all night
Until I come right.
